KristaLynn Marie Roelofsen was born at Sioux Valley Hospital on August 11th, 1985. She was born and raised in Sioux Falls, but spent her summers in North Carolina starting at the age of 2. There she stayed with her Aunt Sandi and Uncle Nick. Even after they moved to Pennsylvania, she continued to stay with them until she was about 14.

She first attended Hawthorne grade school from kindergarten thru the beginning of the 4th grade. At the age of 5, she met Katie Harwig from three houses down, who would grow up to be Krista’s best friend and maid of honor. Krista was then moved to the west side of town where her mom, Sherrie, started Peanuts ABC’s and 123’s Daycare.

After moving, she attended JFK for 4th and 5th grade. Fifth grade is when she met Amanda Stanley, who would grow up to be another one of Krista’s best friends and bridesmaid. (According to Amanda, Krista had her at hello…) After JFK, she went on to Memorial middle school from 6th grade thru 8th grade.

Krista would help her mom with the daycare after school and also during the summers when she didn’t fly to her Aunt’s house. When she finished middle school, she attended Roosevelt high school. At the end of junior year, she met Joe. They grew close over the summer, spending as much time as they could together.

Krista graduated from Roosevelt in 2003 and went on to attend USDSU with a major in Biology, and a minor in Zoology. She only stayed for a semester and has since then taken time off to rethink her major. Currently, Krista works full time at Premier Bankcard.

Joe’s mom, Bev, says that she can tell Krista makes Joe happy because she can see it in his eyes.

Joe transferred to Western Christian High, where he graduated in 2001. He went to Marshall, MN and attended Southwest State University for 1 semester, with a major in Business Administration. Joe then moved to Sioux Falls and transferred to Southeast Tech. At the end of his first year, he met a girl named Krista. They started spending more and more time together and were soon inseparable.

Joe went on to graduate with an Associate of applied science degree in Accounting. Currently, he works full time at Premier Bankcard.
From what Joe’s mom, Bev, can see, Krista is the love of his live and he would do anything to make her happy.
